Science Building -- Webb Hall

Description

A watercolor rendering of the second building to be built on the Goleta campus. The Science Building was designed by Santa Barbara architects Windsor Soule and John Murphy, who were the supervising architects for the new campus until 1953. The 1.2 million dollar science building featured 14 laboratories, 100-seat auditorium, offices, classrooms, numerous safety features include storing explosives in a room with an exterior collapsible wall, and a lead-lined radiation chamber in the basement.
