Hunt & Chambers: Huntington Library estate (San Marino, Calif.)

Myron Hunt and Elmer Grey worked for railroad magnate and real estate mogul Henry Huntington to design buildings to house Huntington's extensive library and art collections. The Mediterranean revival style building formed the basis for the Huntington Library and Art Gallery, which first opened to the public in 1928.
